Há sempre outra perspectiva
Ao escrever a música "Alive", Eddie Vedder quis prepetuar em canção uma maldição. Estar vivo era, para ele, naquela altura, uma maldição. A música tinha uma carga muito negativa.
No entanto, o público encarou-a de forma completamente diferente. Como uma celebração da Vida. E ainda hoje se sente, pelo menos eu sinto, uma esperança nascer dentro de nós ao ouvir este tema. Foi o que se sentiu no dia 4 de Setembro no Pavilhão Atlântico entre milhares de pessoas a cantar "I'm still Alive..." e é o que se sente em casa a entoar a letra na nossa cabeça.
O vocalista diz hoje que, por este facto, a maldição não existe mais.
